WHEELCHAIR ACCESS

We have noted that one of your guests requires wheelchair access.

To assist you with planning for the tour here is some information regarding our current ‘Supported Mobility access’:

· The vessel we take guests on, to tour our farm leases has a gateway of 75cm width.

· The step up to board the vessel is 20cm high, we have a portable ramp that spans this distance.

· There is also a step of 20cm onto the pontoon, we have a portable ramp that spans this distance.

· Broken Bay Pearl farm staff will assist guests to board safely, including boarding the boat.

· There is a wheelchair accessible restroom located at the Shellar Door, accessible via a concrete path.

· The Shellar Door has a level concrete floor for all interior spaces used for the tour.

· Car parking is available at the Shellar Door, a space will be reserved on the day for your group. This is a loose gravel surface, but your guest can alight onto the pavement entryway into the Shellar Door.

· Between the Shellar Door and the pathway to our pontoon where the vessel is moored there is a 13.5m distance to travel over loose gravel. We have a carpet mat that is 68cm wide, this spans the distance running over the top of the loose gravel.

Past guests with manual wheelchairs have found our access to the full tour, including on land as well as on water components, to be accessible with support given as required by our team.

If you would like to see photos or video of our tour spaces, please let us know and we will forward them to you.

If you feel the access will be too challenging for your guest, we can also offer the tour as a land-based experience rather than the boat component.

Please feel welcome to talk to any member of our team if you have any concerns.

Thanks again for your booking, we are looking forward to welcoming you to Broken Bay Pearl Farm.
