Begin your journey at our Shellar door, where we will board a vessel to a secret location, drink in hand. Followed by a curated multi-course meal that celebrates the region’s finest produce. Each dish is crafted with fresh, local ingredients, including premium oysters, paired with a selection of wines, cocktails, and champagne. The Liddon family, renowned for their Black-lip pearls from the Abrolhos Islands, started Pearls and Plates in 2021, encompassing the family passion for sharing experiences around a table: pearls, art, music and delicious food.

For Pearls and Plates in 2025, and now continuing into 2026, the Liddon’s have partnered with the Brown family, pioneers of sustainable pearling at Cygnet Bay and Broken Bay Pearl Farms, collaborating to offer two incredible Pearls and Plates events across Australia.

Pearls and Plates is being held at a secret location on October 17 & 18, departing from our Broken Bay Pearl Farm Shellar Door. 

It is just a short distance off the Pacific Motorway (M1), approximately 1 hour north of Sydney. 

  • Our lunch only package is a 5 hour experience
  • Includes a transfer to an exclusive, secret location
  • Gourmet set menu by Mindy Woods
  • Premium beverage pairing
There are three package options this year for Pearls and Plates at Broken Bay:
 
  1. Lunch only – from $395 / adult – 5 hours
  2. Lunch & Seaplane – from $885 / adult – 6 hours
  3. Lunch & Pearl Masterclass – from $445 / adult – 7 hours

Mindy Woods is the chef at Pearls and Plates, Broken Bay. 

Our return boat transfer from Broken Bay Pearl Farm’s Shellar Door to our secret riverside location is included in the ticket price.

However, transfers before and after the event and from the Shellar Door to your home/accommodation are not included.

Please ensure you select or arrange a transport option to get to the Shellar Door when booking.

Available transport options include:

  • Self-drive with complimentary on-site parking

  • Pre-booked bus transfer on return from Shellar Door to Sydney or Central Coast

  • Pick-up/drop-off from Hawkesbury River Station (for train travellers)

  • Seaplane arrival from Rose Bay (one way only)

Important:
The boat will depart at 11:45am sharp for our secret riverside lunch location. As this site is only accessible by boat, late arrivals cannot be accommodated and refunds will not be issued.

This is an outdoor event set against the stunning natural backdrop of the Hawkesbury River.

Please dress for all weather conditions—we recommend:

  • Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing including enclosed footwear suitable for boat boarding and a short bush path.

  • A warm layer, as it can get cool by the water.

  • A hat and sunscreen for sun protection.

Pearls of Australia reserves the right to cancel, postpone or alter the Pearls & Plates experience without prior notice. While all due care is taken to deliver as planned, circumstances may arise beyond our control.

Pearls of Australia will not be held liable for any accident, injury, delay, loss, or damage resulting from the provision, or failure to provide, any services listed.

All prices, timings, and inclusions are subject to change.

Customer Cancellations: Guests must provide at least 7 days’ notice to receive a full refund or credit.

Cancellations within 48 hours may be considered on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed.

Operator Cancellations: A full refund or credit will be issued if Pearls of Australia cancels due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.

No-shows: Guests who do not attend without notice will be charged the full ticket price.

IMPORTANT – Seaplane Bookings:
Cancellations of seaplane transfers within 14 days of the event date are non-refundable. A credit note will be issued for future use, but no refunds can be provided.
