Our Suggested Itinerary for the Ultimate Bridal Shower at Broken Bay Pearl Farm

10am – Arrive at the Shellar Door 

Begin your day by soaking in the peaceful surrounds of the Lower Hawkesbury River before heading inside to browse our pearl jewellery collections featuring locally-grown Australian Akoya pearls and Australian South Sea pearls from our sister farm at Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm in Western Australia.

10.30am – Learn the Secrets of Pearling 

Step into our exclusive Pearl Grading Room for a fascinating snapshot of pearling in Australia. Witness the excitement of a live pearl harvest, discover how pearls are the only intrinsically sustainable gemstone, hear incredible stories from Australia’s pearling past, and learn the secrets behind grading pearls.

11.30am – Experience the Hawkesbury River  

Board our riverboats and set sail through the breathtaking estuary landscapes that make Broken Bay so unforgettable. Here, you’ll visit an oyster lease and get a first-hand experience of sustainable oyster farming in action, bringing a real sense of provenance to the pearls on display back at the Shellar Door.

12.30pm – Enjoy a guided oyster tasting 

Back on land, indulge in a 30-minute guided tasting of our local oysters. Savour the different flavour profiles of Angasi, Akoya or Sydney Rock oysters, learn to shuck like a pro, and choose from your favourite seasonings.
